Real life vs Virtual life

Do you ever feel like you live more inside your mind, inside a world of your own rather than in the real world outside? Imagining different scenarios , living different lives, being someone else. Well, you’re not alone. It happens to me too, and like us a million other people. But, the question is why, why do we do it? Why do we find this virtual life more appealing?

It’s not rocket science, many of us use it as an escape from the difficulties and the hardships of real life. In this, of these virtual worlds, we create what we think is a better version of ourselves, maybe even the best. We can be the way we want to be, say the things we want to say, live the way we want to live, because no one will judge us, it’s a world that we created, a world in which we are in control of our thoughts, but most importantly the thoughts of others. We can control how everyone else see us and what and how we want them to think of us. Why would we ever want to leave this utopia?

However, by doing this we are being unfair to our true selves, to our real-life journey. It’s like saying to ourselves, “you are NOT enough”, “you are NOT worthy”, “you are NOT loved.” And so, the natural question is, if we don’t even love ourselves in our real lives, how can we expect others to love us? We have to set an example, so that the others can follow, we have to start by loving ourselves. I know, this is not the first time you’re reading this, I know, I have read it, had it told to me, and wrote it down over and over again, and probably I need to hear it again a thousand times before I start believing it, and start doing it, so hear it goes again: learn to love yourself!

Here comes some good news. There is someone, who already loves us, He always did and always will. Your life story doesn’t matter to Him, You

matter, the real You, not any other cheap version that your mind creates, You, the You He loved and He created. There cannot be a better version of that, because it’s too perfect to be imitated, or more so improved.

Yes, real life is tough, and it is so easy to escape the hardships by living in our own imaginary world. But what will happen when we finally

wake up from our dreams and realise all the beautiful things we missed on?

Wake up, before it's too late!
